Established in 2015, it started as a ride, aimed at London’s fixed gear scene. Today it’s a mixed team of cyclists and friends, specialising in Fixed Gear Crit racing… and beer drinking.
”LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL”
Founded by three friends back in September of 2015, Fixed Beers started as a regular fixed gear ride. Rides would roll out from Cycle PS in Camberwell and cruise all over London seeking out hidden locations, forgotten roads and rad places to end with a beer.
Our new regular London ride. Riding out every other week and lead by ride regular, The Boss. Usually starting in central it’s a two hour shred and a great way to meet the crew and make new friends. We usually end the ride at a bike friendly location, such as an independent bar or tap room. If you want us to visit, or you know a good location we should check out drop us an email
Please be responsible for yourself, your bike and its maintenance. Please run a front brake and come prepared with all the tools and stuff that is standard for a short ride. This means in your bag or pouch should be:
Spanner • Pump • Puncture Repair Kit • Spare inner tube • Lights
There’s only so much you can fit into an evening ride during the week so we created a cycling club for everything else. We’re talking rides to Cambridge, Oxford and Brighton, or longer all day rides around town. For these we usually the dump the streetwear and chuck on the lycra for maximum comfort as well as switching that messenger bag or back pack for a frame bag or pouch.
To join add your email address here or join the Cycling Club on Strava. As a member you'll get reminders about our club rides as well as information and invites to special events. Cheers.
FIXED GEAR RACE TEAM
After a lot of requests from ride regulars and inspired by other bike groups around London, in 2016 we put together a race team. Officially known as The Fixed Beers Race Team, the team toured the Fixed Gear Crit Races of 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Now with 13 members and with plans to race not only Fixed but also, Road, Cross and MTB events, 2019 is going to be one hell of a year for the team.
